We have been working on the next beta version for a long time but are happy to report it is almost ready. This new version of Fusion Ticket has many major changes, clean-ups and security enhancements. At this point we will check the system again to see if everything is still working and there are no problems left needing to be fixed.
Next week or so, we will send all contributors a pre-Beta5 version so they can see the changes themselves and, hopefully, help us with the last testing.
Do you want to get a copy too, but have not donated, yet? Please do so now. You will get lots of support.
Here is a small list of major changes:
- The POS is simplified and now has only one screen where the entire order is setup.
- The PDF Template engine has been replaced with one based on HTML2pdf. And so far we really like it.
- For windows users you can now setup FT to use SMTP instead the built-in mail system.
- You can now setup whether patrons need to be registered to purchase.
- New Payment handling system that allows a more secure transaction.
- The language file has been re-ordered and completed with all the defines.
- All changes that are shown in the Beta4c release.
- And much, much more ....
One big change you will find, in this new beta, is only 1 Extended Payment Handler is present , namely PayPal. Other handlers can be purchased on our site for a small price. With these optional handlers you also receive support to get the system working on you system.
Also, we will soon offer the possibility to format Fusion Ticket to match your existing website theme. Watch our site frequently to see if the webshop is shown.
